Herald Square full on Christmas Eve as holiday shoppers race to finish line

NEW YORK — Hours ahead of heading to their Christmas Eve gatherings, some other folks in New York City waited in checkout traces to finish up their holiday buying groceries. 

With their palms full and their wallets no longer empty but, shoppers packed Herald Square on Sunday.
