Helicopter Crashes In Yard Of California Home Injuring 2


FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — A helicopter spun uncontrolled and crashed within the entrance yard of a house in central California, hurting a pilot and passenger, authorities mentioned.

The helicopter clipped the sting of the home and sheared off the highest of a palm tree earlier than crashing and coming to relaxation on its aspect in southeast Fresno round 10 a.m. Saturday, mentioned police Lt. Charlie Chamalbide.

Two males aboard, the 47-year-old pilot and a 33-year-old passenger, have been hospitalized with minor accidents, Chamalbide mentioned. Nobody on the bottom was damage.

The plane was a surveying helicopter on a check run, the lieutenant mentioned. He didn’t have information about who owned it or who the occupants have been working for.

“They heard a pop and then they started losing altitude — that’s as far as we know,” Chamalbide informed reporters.

Neicy Miramontes informed the (*2*) that her 9-year-old son, Ezekiel Carranco, was strolling to a buddy’s home when he noticed the helicopter in hassle.

“All of a sudden he looks up and sees the helicopter spinning and after that he heard a loud boom,” she mentioned.

The National Transportation Safety Board was investigating.
