Guns, jewelry stolen during home burglary in Florida Keys



MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – Two males from Miami-Dade County had been arrested Sunday following a home burglary in the Florida Keys, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office introduced Monday.

According to MCSO spokesman Adam Linhardt, the burglary used to be reported round 5 p.m. on Blackbeard Lane on Cudjoe Key.

Deputies later recovered the stolen pieces, which had a complete approximate price of $2,000, Linhardt mentioned.

Stif Robert Benitez, 28, of Homestead, used to be arrested on fees of burglary and tampering with proof, whilst Derek Gonzalez, 27, of Miami, used to be arrested on fees of tampering with proof and accent to burglary.

According to Linhardt, the sufferer reported the burglary after seeing one suspect dressed in a masks and hoodie fleeing the scene with a lock field in a Toyota SUV.

The sufferer equipped deputies with the car tag quantity, safety video pictures and “other information,” Linhardt mentioned.

The car used to be later stopped on U.S. 1 in Marathon and each suspects had been taken into custody.

Linhardt mentioned the lock field contained a gold ring, 4 handguns and ammunition.
