HOUSTON — The One Safe Houston violent crime discount program hosted its newest event Saturday in northeast Harris County.

The event went from 8 a.m. to midday at Deussen Park. People handing over weapons will received present playing cards starting from $50 to $200, relying on the kind of weapon and whether or not it nonetheless works.
“We don’t ask questions,” Ellis stated. “We don’t care if they come from other counties.”
There was initially a vendor challenge with the present playing cards that Ellis stated has since been resolved.
Law enforcement will test whether or not weapons are linked to crimes earlier than destroying them.
