Grimes County deputy accused of stealing cash at couple’s wedding


GRIMES COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – What was once intended to be an excellent day for Tony Clark and his newlywed spouse, Chelsie, at a venue close to Plantersville, became a disheartening incident final Saturday.

The Pearland couple’s joyous party took a bitter flip when cash-filled playing cards went lacking from a congratulations field, leaving the newlyweds in disbelief, according to a report from KHOU-TV.

After reviewing the surveillance video at the venue, apparently that an off-duty Grimes County Sheriff’s Deputy in uniform could have got rid of the playing cards from the field.

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office was once alerted to the incident on Thursday and Sheriff Don Sowell tells KBTX that the deputy was once right away put on paid go away pending the end result of an investigation.

“We alerted the Texas Ranger for our area and the Grimes County District Attorney’s Office and we’re all going to work together to properly investigate these claims,” Sheriff Sowell informed News 3′s Rusty Surette.

The deputy’s id isn’t being publicly shared at this time since he’s now not been officially charged with against the law.
