Grass fire burns nearly 10 acres along East Sam Houston Parkway; fire possibly started by smoking materials

(*10*)HOUSTON – A grass fire was once contained by firefighters with the Sheldon Fire Department Wednesday afternoon.

The fire burned as much as 10 acres within the 9300 block of East Sam Houston Parkway North.

Investigators mentioned the fire was once led to by improperly discarded smoking materials.

The fire division has requested everybody not to discard smoking materials out in their car whilst riding.

The plants is recently very dry, and the gas so much are prime. This way a small fire can spark and take off briefly.
