Georgia Department of Labor returns $105.1M in unremitted funds to the state | Georgia



(The Center Square) — Following an interior audit, the Georgia Department of Labor has returned greater than $105.1 million in unremitted funds to the state treasury.

Labor Commissioner Bruce Thompson licensed the switch of the funds to the Georgia Department of Treasury on Aug. 3. Officials mentioned the funds started amassing in fiscal 2014 beneath the earlier hard work commissioner.
