Gators to Clash Against Cavaliers

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida males’s and ladies’s swimming and diving continues the 2022-23 marketing campaign on Saturday, Oct. 22 when the Gators head to Charlottesville, Virginia to tackle the extremely ranked Cavaliers. Competition is ready to start at 10 a.m., with diving occasions starting at 5 p.m. Friday night.
 
The Gators final competed towards Nova Southeastern and Arkansas last month. The eleventh ranked Florida girls downed each Nova and Arkansas in a double-dual, whereas the third ranked males topped Nova to begin the season off with a win. The Gators received 31 of the 32 occasions.
 
Florida’s newcomers impressed throughout the season opener, behind Joshua Liendo, who received all three of his occasions on the best way to SEC Men’s Swimmer of the Week honors on Sep. 27. Jake Mitchell completed first within the 500 free and second within the 200 free in his Gators debut.

Saturday’s meet is the season opener for the Cavaliers, who’ve six swimmers on the USA National Roster, together with Olympic silver medalist Alex Walsh and Olympic Bronze Medalist Kate Douglass.
