Garland opens city’s first skate park

GARLAND, Texas — North Texas skaters have a brand new playground to trip on as the town of Garland has opened a large new skate park this weekend. 

“The Boneyard in Garland” had its grand opening Saturday at Rick Oden Park. This park is the first opened within the metropolis and is the second largest within the state at 46,000 sq. ft. 

This park is a part of the city’s first part for renovating Rick Oden Park, and will probably be adjoining to different facilities like strolling trails, a meals truck park, shade pavilions and restrooms. 

The skate park has quite a few options, together with a newbie’s space, a bowl space and a avenue space with numerous completely different rails and pipes to check out completely different skateboard tips. 

Designed by SPA Skateparks, the park is designed for all ages and ability ranges and is allowed for skateboards, inline skates, scooters and bicycles.
