MARATHON, Fla. – Authorities have captured a South Florida pastor who they are saying used to be wanted for sexual battery on a minor.
Local 10 News has realized that Monte Chitty used to be captured in Woodsville, Texas.
Chitty, 62, is accused of battering a 15-year-old girl inside of First Baptist Marathon.
He have been launched on $75,000 bond following his arrest in March, however failed to turn as much as a scheduled arraignment on Monday and had since been thought to be a fugitive.
Prosecutors stated Chitty took off in a white van with out-of-state plates and that they didn’t assume he used to be nonetheless in the Florida Keys.
Chitty used to be positioned via the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, in step with the State Attorney’s Office.
