Homeowners in Seminole County hoping to get flood assistance funding solely have till the top of enterprise Friday to place in an utility with the county.
Officials say residents have till 5 p.m. to use to the county’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program for funds to lift, relocate, promote and even demolish their properties.
Jerry Block and his spouse Katheryn put in an utility Wednesday requesting grant cash from FEMA.
Because their house is filled with mould brought on by flooding, the 2 are hoping to get sufficient funding to demolish the property.
“I seemed on the market and mentioned this isn’t good,” Jerry Block said. “We received two weeks of rain earlier than, so, the water was outdoors its banks when the storm hit.”
Seminole County officers say they’ve obtained 25 functions for assistance.
While Friday is the deadline, county officers mentioned they may possible take functions past Friday on a case-by-case foundation.
