Fort Worth street takeover, deadly crash



Police stated the car sped off from the takeover when officers confirmed up. Shortly after, the car went airborne and struck a light-weight pole’s transformer.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Police in Fort Worth say two individuals have died and two others had been injured in a crash that occurred after they fled from a street takeover Sunday night time.

Officers inform WFAA that they responded to a report on the takeover shortly after 11 p.m. on Jan. 22. They identified a crimson Camaro being the primary car concerned within the occasion.

When police obtained to the scene on University Drive near White Settlement Road, they briefly turned on their automobiles’ emergency lights. According to the division, the Camaro turned off its lights and sped off eastbound on White Settlement, however police did not go after it.

Later, police on the White Settlement “saw a bright flash on the traffic circle,” in line with the division. Officers stated the Camaro had change into airborne and struck the transformer of an influence pole.
