FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A Fort Lauderdale man accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old woman after threatening her with a knife has been arrested.
It occurred early Tuesday morning within the 1000 block of NE third Avenue.

According to police, the teenager and her good friend had been adopted right into a yard by a person they didn’t know, later recognized as 33-year-old John Gardner.
When the teenagers informed him he couldn’t be there, Gardner reportedly agreed to go away. Believing he would the teenager’s good friend walked away to discover a solution to get into the residence leaving her alone with Gardner.

According to police, when the teenager was alone, Gardner pulled a knife, threatened her, after which sexually assaulted her. He then left the realm. The teen suffered minor accidents because of a battle.
Gardner was later noticed by a Broward sheriff’s deputy and brought into custody. Police mentioned when he was arrested he nonetheless had the knife in his possession.
