Former fire chief arrested on additional child porn charges


MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — A former Port Neches Fire Department fire chief is now going through extra prison charges out of a special county after being terminated from the dept in 2021. 

Paul Edward Nelson, 57, used to be arrested at his Jefferson County house in January 2021 and later charged with two counts of promotion and ownership of child pornography.

Kayleigh Date, a spokesperson for the Texas Attorney General’s place of job, up to now advised 12News the investigation began with a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
