Florida woman turns gas station stop into $1 million prize playing Lottery scratch-off game



MIAMI – A woman from Collier County hit the jackpot after playing a Florida lottery scratch-off game, Lottery officers introduced this week.

Luisana Dorado, 39, of Naples, claimed her $1 million prize Friday after playing the “$1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular” scratch-off game.

According to Lottery officers, Dorado selected to obtain her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum cost of $640,000.

She bought the scratch-off price tag from a Circle Okay gas station in her place of origin.

The retailer will obtain a $2,000 bonus fee for promoting the successful price tag.

“The $50 scratch-off game, $1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular, launched in February and features two top prizes of $1 million a year for life and 234 prizes of $1 million,” the Florida Lottery mentioned in a news unencumber. “Additionally, the scratch-off tickets are filled with more than $1.6 billion in cash prizes. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.50.”
