FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A now-former St. Lucie County instructor was arrested after a cellphone video confirmed her hitting a Sixth-grade pupil with what gave the impression to be a part of a broomstick.
It occurred at Forest Grove Middle School final week.

The pupil’s mom, Joselyn Destine, mentioned her 12-year-old son had some kind of disagreement with the instructor, 49-year-old Cyntyche Darling-Lundy, and he or she struck him.
Destine mentioned she known as the sheriff’s workplace after she heard what occurred after which noticed the video.

Darling-Lundy has been charged with baby abuse.
The St. Lucie County Public School District mentioned Darling-Lundy was employed in 2010 as a meals service assistant and he or she had simply began her place as an “exceptional student education” or ESE instructor in August.
“The alleged behavior is intolerable and reprehensible. As a result of the initial investigation, the teacher was terminated on April 21st,” in line with a press release from the district.

Destine mentioned she plans to take authorized motion.
