Florida police searching for armed robber who allegedly shot, killed dog – KIRO 7 News Seattle


TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Police Department are searching for an armed robber who allegedly shot and killed a dog Friday night.

According to a news release from the Tampa Police Department, simply earlier than 7 p.m. on Friday close to West Powhatan and North Armenia avenues, a person was strolling his two dachshund canines when an armed man allegedly got here as much as him, pointed a gun and demanded cash. Both of the canines turned “agitated” and had been shifting close to the suspect when he allegedly shot at them a number of occasions, hitting one of many canines.

According to WFLA, the sufferer picked up each of his canines and ran. The suspect continued to chase them and fireplace his gun. Police mentioned the sufferer ultimately received away and took his canines to an emergency veterinarian. The dog who was shot died on the veterinarian’s workplace from his accidents.

TPD mentioned they’re persevering with to look for the suspect. He is described as a skinny Black man, about 6 ft, 4 inches tall. He was sporting a black hoodie, grey sweatpants and was armed with a handgun. TPD mentioned he was final seen operating eastbound on West Powhatan Avenue.
