Florida police officer arrested after barricading himself in home, threatening to shoot fiancé: Deputies

An off-duty Cocoa Police Department officer who was arrested after he barricaded himself in his residence following a home incident made his first court docket look Thursday, deputies mentioned. 

Patrick Kelly, 39, was arrested on costs of aggravated assault/home violence with a lethal weapon and discharging a firearm on residential property Thursday.

Deputies mentioned they responded to a house on Framura Lane in Viera round 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when Kelly’s fiancé instructed officers he had threatened her with a firearm and was experiencing an “emotional crisis.”

The lady was in a position to flee the house, however mentioned Kelly threatened to hurt her and himself and any responding members of legislation enforcement, deputies mentioned.
