POLK CITY, Fla. – A 21-year deputy was fatally shot Tuesday whereas serving a warrant in central Florida, authorities stated.
The deputy was shot after getting into a trailer within the early morning with three different deputies to serve a warrant on a suspect needed for failing to look on a felony drug cost, stated Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.
The deputy, who Judd described as one of the youngest on the power, was taken to a hospital the place he died, “despite valiant efforts,” the sheriff stated.
The deputy’s title wasn’t instantly launched publicly, pending notification of household.
Judd stated a procession can be held taking the deputy from the hospital to the medical expert’s workplace. Polk County is situated midway between Orlando and Tampa.
