Florida Chick-fil-A celebrates longtime customer’s 104th birthday: ‘Immensely grateful’


For the sixth 12 months in a row, a Florida Chick-fil-A celebrated the birthday of a longtime buyer who has been coming to the restaurant frequently for over 20 years!

The CFA location in Oldsmar, Fla., hosted a 104th birthday party for beloved buyer Mr. Steve on Nov. 8.

In a Facebook submit, the restaurant stated Mr. Steve visited each morning for over twenty years till 2018. He sat in the identical sales space, ordered the identical breakfast and browse the morning paper throughout his each day visits. Now, he visits frequently.

“His visit was a daily highlight and our team would carve out a good five to 10 minutes each day to sit and talk with him,” the submit stated.

He is described as one of many “sweetest, most genuine, kind, and humble people we have had the pleasure to know” by the restaurant workers, lots of whom have developed a particular relationship with him over time.

“He always gave the best advice about life, about what’s really important, and expressed a genuine interest in the happenings of our lives,” the submit stated.

The restaurant shared photos from every celebration since Mr. Steve’s 99th birthday.

When he turned 100, the placement stated it went “big” by dedicating a sales space to Mr. Steve and gifting him free CFA for life. The celebration resulted in nationwide news consideration and the chance for Mr. Steve to movie a Chick-fil-A business in New York City.

In 2020 for Mr. Steve’s 102nd birthday, CFA group members confirmed as much as his residence and celebrated him with a socially distanced celebration within the driveway. 

In 2021, the restaurant opened its eating room only for Mr. Steve as a way to have fun his 103rd birthday.

The restaurant stated regardless that the events needed to shift a bit through the pandemic, the “heart of the celebration has remained the same,” which is to honor a person who has impacted the Oldsmar team, and captured the eye of the corporate and the nation.

“As we celebrated 104, we couldn’t help but feel immensely grateful for the opportunity to return even a portion of the love that he shares with our team, and for the bond that we have been able to build over the past six years of birthdays,” the restaurant wrote on Facebook.
