However, for many individuals it may be irritating. One day it’s sizzling, the subsequent day it’s not.

“The weather can be frightful outside, but we’re always a perfect 85 degrees inside,” stated Michael Wampler, director of gross sales and advertising at Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark in Grand Prairie.

Epic Waters is open year-round, rain or shine.

Saturday, the waterpark will debut one thing virtually as loopy because the climate.

A new waterslide referred to as Locura, which suggests madness in Spanish, will open to the general public. It’s the primary new journey Epic Waters has unveiled since opening 5 years in the past.

Locura is seven tales tall and as soon as riders are prepared, the ground drops out from beneath them. The waterpark is promising riders ‘Hair Raising Fun.’

“Forty-feet straight down, vertical drop,” stated Wampler.

Wampler stated there isn’t a different water slide in North Texas like Locura.

Riders hit speeds of 35 miles per hour as they slide by means of a 360-degree loop earlier than taking pictures out the underside of the 387-foot-long slide.

No matter the climate, Wampler stated Locura and Epic Waters is a small piece of paradise in North Texas.

“The weather is always perfect inside Epic Waters,” he stated.
