Eleven CEAT students recognized as OSU’s 2022-23 Wentz Research Scholars

Oklahoma State University has recognized 11 College of Engineering, Architecture and
Technology students as the 2022-2023 Wentz Research Scholars for his or her excellent
undergraduate analysis.

The Lew Wentz Foundation and the Henry Bellmon Office of Scholar Development and Undergraduate
Research present assist for the nationally recognized Wentz Research Scholars program.
Approximately 40 undergraduates are awarded one-year, $4,500 Wentz Research Awards
annually to conduct impartial analysis with the steerage of a school mentor in
any subject of research. The prestigious scholarship helps put together these students for graduate
research or nationwide competitions.

“The aggressive Wentz Research Scholars Program equips undergraduates with many expertise
exterior the realm of the analysis they’re engaged on,” stated Latasha Wilson Taşcı,
program supervisor for the Office of Scholar Development and Undergraduate Research.
“It’s a formative expertise to hold out an impartial analysis challenge as an undergraduate.
There is great accountability concerned, the necessity for environment friendly time administration,
and sometimes trials and tribulations.

To be eligible for the award, students have to be labeled as an undergraduate at OSU’s
Stillwater or Tulsa campuses, have accomplished a minimal of 12 credit score hours at OSU,
and achieved a minimal 3.00 cumulative grade-point-average. Students should additionally work
alongside a school member to oversee their analysis challenge.
