Titans shall be making their first look within the nationwide event of their first season
TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College males’s cross-country group made historical past Friday morning, successful the NJCAA Region 8 championship Friday morning at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee.
Eastern Florida State College topped Seminole State College for the title to advance to the NJCAA Division I National Championships on Nov. 12 in Tallahassee.
Freshman Dayton Law gained the person title, ending first within the Division I race with a time of 26 minutes, and 38.30 seconds within the 8K race.
“He didn’t have a great day but was happy to be able to get the Runner of the Year title,” Eastern Florida State College males’s cross nation coach Doug Butler mentioned.
“We didn’t have our best day today so to be able to win the Region 8 title is good. They will be better at nationals in a couple of weeks.”
Right behind Law have been teammates Gabriel Garcia (27:30) and Charlie Dickinson (27:36), who positioned second and third respectively. Garcia’s run was his private greatest on the season. Josh Ingalls positioned sixth total with a 28:35 and Nicholas Spence positioned eighth with a 29:31.
