GRAPEVINE, Texas — A Texas man recognized because the ringleader of a gaggle of drivers conducting “intersection takeovers” has been arrested, police mentioned.

The Grapevine Police Department (GPD) mentioned Sweetwater police officers arrested 22-year-old Juan Carlos Rodriguez, and he’s charged with participating in organized felony exercise, a state jail felony. The warrant for Rodriguez’s arrest was issued on Feb. 9. Rodriguez was arrested on Feb. 21. 

The intersection takeover Rodriguez was arrested and charged in reference to occurred on New Years Eve. GPD mentioned Grapevine dispatchers acquired 911 calls simply after 11 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2022 for reviews of autos revving engines, squealing tires and driving dangerously within the intersection of Main Street and Dallas Road.
