DFW ice storm: Fort Worth police hit by jack-knifing 18-wheeler



FORT WORTH, Texas — Two Fort Worth police officers have been taken to a hospital after a jack-knifing 18-wheeler struck a patrol car on Interstate 20 early Thursday, officers mentioned.

The incident occurred round 2:30 a.m. within the 8900 block of Interstate 20, at I-20 and West Loop 820 in southwest Fort Worth.

Officers have been responding to a crash once they stopped to test on two automobiles, police mentioned. Their patrol car was then hit by an 18-wheeler’s trailer because the truck was jack-knifing.

One officer was within the patrol car when the crash occurred. He was in a position to get out of the car to keep away from getting hit by a second 18-wheeler.

Him and the opposite officer fled onto a median to keep away from getting hit by a 3rd 18-wheeler.

Both officers have been taken to a hospital for remedy.

More information on the crash was not instantly out there.
