Desoto ISD employee steals $250,000 from district



DESOTO, Texas — A DeSoto Independent School District employee pleaded responsible Tuesday to embezzling greater than $250,000 from the district, in keeping with U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Chad E. Meacham.

Terry Lynn Sanders, who was the previous DeSoto ISD Director of Energy Management, pleaded responsible to conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

Sanders, 57, admitted in his plea papers that he used a faculty district bank card to make 30 funds price $255,100 to an outdoor firm.
