Department of Sanitation unveils Christmas Tree recycling dates

NEW YORK – The New York City Department of Sanitation has unveiled its Christmas “tree-cycling” plan. 

For the primary time. citizens of Brooklyn and Queens who already take part in curbside compost assortment can put their tree out on their often scheduled compost and recycling day.

Resident of the Bronx, Manhattan and Staten Island can put their tree out beginning Jan. 5. Collection will run thru Jan. 13. Trees in the ones boroughs are accrued one after the other from trash and recycling, the Sanitation Department mentioned. 

Trees which might be being disposed of will have to be cleared of all lighting fixtures, tinsel, stands and adorns, they usually will have to no longer be wrapped in plastic luggage. 

The timber shall be was compost for distribution at town parks and neighborhood gardens, amongst different spots.
