Democrat Texas border mayor urges Biden, Harris address migrant surge: ‘We would like more attention on this’

The mayor of a Texas border neighborhood stated Friday it’s “disappointing” to not hear from the federal authorities, President Biden, or VP Harris in regards to the border disaster.

Rolando Salinas, the Democratic mayor of Eagle Pass, joined “Fox & Friends” to address the shortage of assist from the Biden administration to safe the southern border.

Meanwhile, Texas is stepping up rather than the federal authorities to mitigate the disaster.

The self-described reasonable Democrat stated his small city of roughly 30,000 individuals doesn’t have the assets to deal with the uptick in unlawful immigration. 

“We’ve been asking for help from the federal government. We need more help from them. I am very grateful for the work the Border Patrol does,” he added.

Salinas emphasised the necessity for the Biden administration to step up on the disaster, cautioning that the top of Title 42 will solely make the problem more tough to handle.
