Davie police make arrest in gruesome case of decapitated calf


DAVIE, Fla. – Police arrested a person in a case of gruesome animal cruelty.

Back in October, caretakers of a Davie cow pasture informed investigators they discovered a calf with its head bring to a halt in the center of the sphere and a bloody machete discarded close to a gate.

Crime scene technicians swabbed the blade and blue care for of the machete and made a DNA fit to Curry O’Meally, who additionally matched the outline of a caller who stated they noticed somebody suspicious in the sphere armed with a machete.

An afternoon later, Davie investigators would be told the Broward Sheriff’s Office arrested O’Meally, 31, after discovering him with a child cow head wrapped in a trash bag inside of a black gymnasium bag. He informed the deputy the cow head used to be for non secular functions.

O’Meally’s arrest warrant states that he “intentionally used a machete to attack the legs and spine of the calf before decapitating it, which resulted in the cruel death of said calf.”
