Cutler Bay man accused of beating, choking ex during, after boat trip



CUTLER BAY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police arrested a Cutler Bay man early Monday morning after accusing him of hitting and strangling his ex-girlfriend as they have been getting back from a boat trip to the Florida Keys.

According to an arrest file, on Sunday night time, Christopher Peter Suda and his ex have been at the boat because it entered the channel into Black Point Marina, positioned south of Cutler Bay, when Suda struck the lady within the again of her head.

Police mentioned after she fell ahead, Suda, 45, struck her two times extra within the again of her head sooner than arriving on the marina.

After coming ashore, Suda loaded the boat onto a trailer and he and his ex-girlfriend were given into their car and the 2 started riding off, police mentioned.

The file states that the lady attempted to get out of the car because it used to be transferring, at which level Suda “then grabbed the victim by the neck and pinned her down to the center console.”

After the 2 were given again to Suda’s house within the 8500 block of Caribbean Boulevard, police mentioned “the victim advised that (Suda) pushed her into the side gate and she walked out the other side.”

“She advised that she walked away from (his) residence and was able to flag down a good Samaritan who contacted police on her behalf,” the file states. “The victim sustained marks on her neck and bruising throughout her body.”

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews took the lady to Jackson South Medical Center to be handled for her accidents.

Police mentioned they took Suda into custody after he arrived at Jackson South in a while within the night time.

In an interview on the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Cutler Bay station, Suda advised detectives that the lady attacked him first and that he grabbed her via the neck “to prevent her from jumping out of the car and hurting herself.”

Suda, who used to be arrested on a legal rate of home battery via strangulation and a misdemeanor battery rate, used to be being held within the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $6,500 bond.
