Cougars Wrap Doubles Play at ITA Regionals

WACO, Texas – The University of Houston tennis workforce wrapped up doubles motion at the 2023 ITA Texas Regional Championship at the Hurd Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
 
After opening the event with a couple of wins, Blanca Cortijo Parreno and Nina Skoric fell to Aleksandra Zlatarova/Cassie Mclay (UTSA), 4-8, within the around of 16.
 
Gabriela Cortes and Elena Trencheva bounced again from an opening-round loss with a win within the comfort around of 16, defeating Texas State’s Kiana Graham/Emily Niers, 8-4, to advance to the quarterfinals.
 
The doubles pair fell to Yekaterina Dmitrichenko and Andreea Lila (Texas Tech), 2-8 within the quarterfinal fit up.
