Conroe police officer accused of stealing from towed vehicle


CONROE, Texas — A Conroe Police Department officer was once fired after he was once accused of stealing from a vehicle he were given towed all the way through a site visitors forestall.

Officer Raymond McCreary was once arrested Thursday and charged with Felony 3 Theft by way of a Public Servant. He was once an 18-year veteran of the Conroe Police Department.

Chief Jeff Christy stated on August 21, Officer McCreary pulled a driving force over and in the long run had his automobile towed. The driving force later reported that his pockets and money had been stolen from within his vehicle. 

Conroe police along side the Texas Rangers carried out an investigation which ended in Officer McCreary confessing to stealing the motive force’s pockets and money.

Officer McCreary was once arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail.

Chief Christy stated the dept was once ready to go back the stolen a refund to the motive force.

“Myself and the dedicated men and women of this department are appalled and embarrassed by the actions of McCreary,” Chief Christy stated. “We understand that his actions tarnish the reputation of our department, but his actions in no way represent the honorable conduct of the dedicated personnel who serve this community with integrity and pride on a daily basis. Misconduct of any kind will not be tolerated.”
