Oklahoma dropped 5 spots to No. 11 in the newest version of the Coaches Poll after the Sooners fell from the ranks of unbeaten groups in a wild 38-33 loss at Kansas on Saturday. On the heels in their first house win over an AP Top 10 opponent since 1984, the Jayhawks entered the ballot at No. 23.
Amid Oklahoma’s defeat, rival Texas rose a place to No. 6 whilst defeating Big 12 foe BYU 35-6 with backup quarterback Maalik Murphy beginning in position of the injured Quinn Ewers. The most effective top-10 crew to upward thrust greater than a unmarried spot was once Oregon, which climbed to No. 7 after dismantling a tricky Utah crew at the highway. Ole Miss rose one spot to No. 10 after a very easy win over Vanderbilt, whilst Penn State climbed one spot to No. 9 after squeaking out an uncomfortably shut victory over Indiana.
Georgia retained its No. 1 spot over Michigan because the Bulldogs dismantled Florida 43-20 whilst bettering to 8-0. But the street forward may just function some problem for UGA as its subsequent 3 fighters (Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee) are every ranked between tenth and sixteenth in this week’s Coaches Poll.
