WINTER PARK, Fla. – Closing arguments are expected Wednesday in the murder trial of Danielle Redlick, who’s accused of stabbing her husband to demise in their Winter Park dwelling in 2019.
Redlick herself took the stand on Tuesday. She advised the court docket that an argument between her and her husband, Michael, received bodily. She testified that Michael pinned her to their kitchen island and was suffocating her.
That’s when she mentioned she reached right into a drawer and pulled out a knife, claiming stabbing Michael was her solely protection. After, Redlick says she ran to the lavatory to get away from him.

Redlick says she later tried to resuscitate him, panicked and began cleansing however ended up falling asleep. The protection requested if she thought she overreacted by stabbing Michael and he or she mentioned no.
In 2020, the state provided Redlick a manslaughter plea deal and 10 ½ years in jail that she turned down. Now she may face life in jail.
