Climate change activists plan protest at White House Correspondents’ Dinner

The White House Correspondents’ Association stated it’s taking precautions, although it didn’t specify what they had been.

“We are aware of the planned protest. There are security precautions in place,” WHCA President Tamara Keith instructed ABC News.

Hilton Hotels & Resorts, which owns the valuables the place the dinner can be held, instructed ABC News it helps “non-disruptive” demonstrations.

The Metropolitan Police Department instructed ABC News that legislation enforcement is “aware of potential First Amendment activities” in connection to the dinner and stated the dept will “continue to monitor and will plan accordingly with our federal law enforcement partners to ensure the safety of DC residents and visitors.”
