“It’s making my stomach turn,” Christina Truillo said after learning a child died at the hotel. “I was telling my husband, I feel like my stomach’s in knots.” “That’s probably the worst thing I’ve heard since I’ve lived here,” she added.

“I saw three police cars here last night,” resident Faris Alamdar said. “I’m concerned for my safety and the other resident’s safety and I need to know what’s going on. They would not give me any information whatsoever.”

According to officers, this is an isolated incident and police aren’t looking for a suspect.  For Trillo, it’s concerning.”They’re not looking for anybody, which is weird. It’s odd,” she said.

Even though this is a motel in the tourist district, Trillo said residents are very close to each other. She hopes the mother is ok.

“A lot of us know each other here, it is like an apartment complex. Our kids play with each other. So you worry, who was it,” Trillo said.
