Child accomplishes visiting all 63 National Parks by the age of three


SAN ANTONIO – The Castillos are an adventurous circle of relatives. The COVID-19 pandemic gave them the urge to be out of doors and to enjoy nature.

Valerie and Eric Castillo welcomed their daughter, Journey, to the global in September of 2020. Two weeks after Journey was once born, she visited her first nationwide park.

The Castillos visited the Grand Canyon and it was once the get started of a three-year journey of taking Journey to all 63 national parks.

“We put a goal together and said we’ll do 21 by the time she turns one, we’ll get to 42 by the time she turns two and then 63 by the time she turns three,” stated Valerie Castillo, Journey’s mom.

Journey’s identify is right to who she is — a fighter. Her mom says that they had a scare 11 weeks into her being pregnant together with her daughter. “We wanted to expose her to these different wonders of the world so she could grow up in those environments,” stated Eric Castillo, Journey’s father.

As Journey will get older, the circle of relatives plans on bringing her again to the nationwide parks.

“We wanted to give her a backbone of having nature as a passion. She could turn to that whenever things got hot and heavy,” Valerie stated.

The Castillos urge everybody to get out and interested in nature.

They have confronted some backlash announcing their daughter received’t bear in mind these items and that they shouldn’t be touring such a lot with a kid, however they don’t concentrate to the critics.

“Once you have a kid, you should stay in your community and raise the kid there and what we did was the complete opposite,” stated Eric.
