Chicago police searching for man who tried to kidnap 8-year-old boy

Chicago police are searching for a man who tried to kidnap an 8-year-old boy on Monday.

The 8-year-old used to be strolling with a parent after 2 p.m. when an unknown man riding a blue four-door sedan stopped close to him and tried to pull him into the auto, police stated.

“The victim was able to break free and the offender fled the location in an unknown direction,” Chicago police stated in a commentary to ABC News.

The suspect reportedly tried to pull the boy in the course of the open motive force’s aspect window earlier than the boy hit the motive force and used to be ready to run away, according to Chicago ABC station WLS. Chicago police stated they didn’t have that information to be had to ascertain and that the investigation is ongoing.

No accidents had been reported within the incident.

No one is in custody and detectives are investigating the incident.
