Charlie Crist, Nikki Fried hitting the road before August Primary

TALLAHASSEE – Democratic gubernatorial candidates Charlie Crist and Nikki Fried are beginning statewide excursions to attempt to rally help before the Aug. 23 major election.

Crist began Saturday in South Florida on what his marketing campaign has dubbed the “Hope For Florida” tour, which is able to embody 10 days of appearances.

A news launch Friday mentioned Crist will “join elected officials and key community leaders across the state for a series of rallies, meet and greets, and Souls to the Polls efforts.” The launch mentioned he can even go to Jacksonville, Pensacola, Orlando, Gainesville, and Daytona Beach.

Fried will launch her “Something New” bus tour on Tuesday, with appearances in Panama City and Tallahassee.

Her tour is predicted to make stops in Jacksonville, Gainesville, Orange County, The Villages, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Fort Myers, and Palm Beach. Her tour will finish Aug. 23 with appearances in Leon, Miami-Dade, and Broward counties.

Fried, the state agriculture commissioner, should begin primary-election day in Tallahassee as Gov. Ron DeSantis scheduled a Cabinet assembly for that morning at the Capitol. Fried and Crist, a congressman from St. Petersburg, are vying to tackle DeSantis in the November common election.
