Carnival raises funds for hound dogs in Oklahoma – FOX23 News

TULSA, Okla. — A carnival was held to boost funds for hound dogs in Oklahoma.

The 2nd Annual Coonhound Carnival was hosted by Joesf Glaude Music and Helpless Hounds. It featured meals, video games, pet costume contests, dwell music, distributors and extra.

Amity Edwards, the Founder of Helpless Hounds, defined what Helpless Hounds is.

“Helpless Hounds is a 501(C)(3) hound rescue in Tulsa, Oklahoma, we do adopt all over the country but we are a breed specific rescue for hounds and hound mixes,” she mentioned.

Jennie Loucks, the Vice President of Helpless Hounds, defined the enchantment of the occasion.

“It’s just kind a fun, family, fur and kid event where you can just come out, enjoy the beautiful weather with your dogs and hang out,” she mentioned.

Edwards mentioned her favourite a part of the occasion was seeing the progress of dogs they labored with.

“I love having our alumni come out, because every dog that comes through our program is so special to us, and that’s the real reward, is getting them into their forever homes, but we love seeing every dog,” she mentioned.
