Carlos Santana postpones tour dates following collapse



The 74-year-old musician was “over-taken by heat exhaustion and dehydration” at a Michigan present on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON — Guitarist Carlos Santana has postponed six dates of his Miraculous Supernatural Tour following his collapse on stage earlier this week.

The cause behind the string of postponements was “out of an abundance of caution for the artist’s health,” stated Universal Tone Management President Michael Vrionis in a press release.

Shows in Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Arkansas and Texas had been postponed Friday night. All exhibits from July 23 by the top of 2022 are nonetheless confirmed. 

Santana was set to play Friday evening at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana. After opening act Earth, Wind and Fire completed enjoying, followers had been advised Santana wouldn’t be performing.

“Carlos is doing well and is anxious to be back on stage soon. He just needs rest,” Vrionis stated within the assertion. “Santana profoundly regrets that these postponements of his upcoming performances; however, his well being is our primary concern. He is trying ahead to seeing all of his followers very quickly.” 

Santana had collapsed on stage Tuesday resulting from warmth exhaustion and dehydration. He was performing on the Pine Knob Music Theater close to Detroit when he was fell. 

Soon after the incident, Santana thanked fans for their prayers on Facebook and stated he had forgotten to eat or drink water, inflicting him to cross out. He stated he and his spouse Cindy “are good” and “just taking it easy.”

Santana was performing as a part of his Miraculous Supernatural 2022 Tour, together with Earth, Wind & Fire, to advertise his twenty sixth studio album, “Blessings and Miracles,” which was launched in 2021.

Live Nation is about to introduced the rescheduled present dates.
