California woman accused of collecting benefits in infamous killers’ names


Brandy Iglesias was employed at a personal firm contracted with San Quentin State Prison, the place each males are incarcerated, and will have accessed their private information via her job, California Attorney General Rob Bonta stated.

Stayner, 61, was convicted for the murders of 4 ladies close to Yosemite National Park in California between February and July of 1999 and sentenced to loss of life.

It was not clear if Iglesias, 43, has met both man. She was taken into custody final week following a multi-agency investigation.

Iglesias made an preliminary court docket look on Wednesday and ordered held on $20,000 bond. Reuters couldn’t decide if she had retained an legal professional.

Bonta stated Iglesias collected the fraudulent benefits from April 2020 to September 2021.
