Brackenridge High School student detained after weapon found in vehicle



SAN ANTONIO – A Brackenridge High School student used to be detained after San Antonio Independent School District police found a weapon in the student’s vehicle that used to be parked on campus, in keeping with officers.

Principal Noemi Davila despatched a letter to households of scholars on Friday afternoon, alerting them of the incident.

A tip used to be gained via the highschool’s nameless tip line {that a} student could have introduced a weapon to university, in keeping with Davila.

School management and SAISD police found the weapon throughout the student’s vehicle in the car parking zone and secured it. The student used to be later detained and is now not on campus.

“We take this type of incident very seriously and appropriate disciplinary action has been taken,” Davila stated in the letter.

It’s unknown if the student will face any prison fees. has reached out to San Antonio police for additional information and we’re nonetheless ready to listen to again.

The college used to be no longer put on lockdown and the weapon used to be found temporarily, in keeping with Davila.

In the letter, Davila steered folks to remind their youngsters of things they shouldn’t carry to campus “to help ensure the safety of all students.”
