Boy, 11, fatally shot by sibling at Florida home, police say


MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WFLA) — An 11-year-old boy died after police mentioned he was shot by his 13-year-old sibling, NBC affiliate WTVJ reported.

Miami-Dade police instructed WTVJ they discovered 11-year-old She’Marion Burse with a gunshot wound to the torso. The boy was taken to a hospital, the place he later died.

She’Marion was certainly one of 5 siblings within the residence when the lethal gunshot rang out, WTVJ reported.

Police instructed the news station that no adults have been inside the house at the time of the taking pictures as a result of the boy’s mother and father have been at work. They mentioned the boy’s mom is a Miami-Dade corrections officer.

On Friday, WTVJ reported that investigators realized that She’Marion’s 13-year-old sibling bought the gun from inside a firearm case that was in the master suite closet. While he was dealing with it, investigators mentioned he by accident discharged it, putting She’Marion.

WTVJ mentioned police are investigating who the gun belonged to and whether or not it was correctly secured.
