Body of one of three children last seen entering the Mississippi River has been found


The physique of one of three children last seen entering the Mississippi River close to New Orleans was found Monday, based on the coroner’s workplace and a household spokesperson.

Kevin Poole Jr., 15, was situated about two miles from the place he and the different two children fell in, based on NBC affiliate WDSU of New Orleans.

The New Orleans Coroner’s Office on Wednesday confirmed Poole’s loss of life to NBC News. His trigger of loss of life is below investigation.

Poole and two women, ages 8 and 14, have been last been seen entering the water on April 23. The women haven’t been found.

Rescue crews searched greater than 93 miles alongside the Mississippi River over a mixed whole of 55 hours, the Coast Guard stated earlier than suspending the search.

Family spokesperson Angela Chalk advised the news station that Poole wished to review environmental coastal administration when he went to school.

“He always had a smile. It would not be Kevin if he didn’t jump in to try to save his friend’s life,” she stated.

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell supplied her condolences to Poole’s household.

“Today’s news about the recovery of 15-year-old Kevin Poole Jr.’s body from the Mississippi River is absolutely heartbreaking,” she wrote Monday on Twitter. “No parent should have to endure the tragedy of losing a child. Words can never be enough in such a devastating moment.”
