Bengaluru FC announce departure of Brazil striker Cleiton Silva


Indian Super League (ISL) facet, Bengaluru FC on Tuesday confirmed the departure of striker, Cleiton Silva from the membership after his contract with the Blues expired – with the Brazilian deciding to maneuver on to greener pastures.

Silva who joined Bengaluru from Thai League T1 facet, Suphanburi in 2020 established himself as a key half of their assault scoring a complete of 16 objectives and registering seven assists throughout the 2 seasons.

The 35-year-old’s performances for Bengaluru made him a fan favorite as his double digit haul of 16 objectives over the 2 seasons has taken him among the many prime three goalscorers for Bengaluru FC ever since their inception within the Hero ISL.

Although Bengaluru FC failed to achieve the semi-finals throughout his two seasons on the membership, the 35-year-old thrived within the assault alongside Sunil Chhetri and Prince Ibarra, marking the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 season his best-ever in phrases of stats and numbers.
