BA students honor fallen Oklahoma servicemembers with a Christmas tree at the state capitol building – FOX23 News

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Students at the Broken Arrow Vanguard Academy created a mission to honor Oklahoma veterans that shall be on show at the Oklahoma Capitol Building.

The students partnered with Survivor Outreach Services of Oklahoma to make a 12-foot tree show at the capitol building.

The show options nearly 400 names of fallen servicemen from Green Country who died between 1990 and 2022 on picket stars throughout the tree.

Liane Anthony, a pupil at the Vanguard Academy informed FOX23 this was a months-long course of.

“Throughout the school year, we engraved 388 stars, all with names, date of death, rank of brances,” Anthony defined. “And we set up at the capitol, and it’s there until December 16th.”

The plan is for the show mission to be handed onto students every year.
