NEW YORK — Federal government in New York introduced on Wednesday the largest-ever seizure of counterfeit goods, consisting of purses, sneakers and different luxurious products valued at greater than $1 billion.
Two other people have been charged with trafficking the knock-offs from a New York City garage unit and different places from January thru October, the U.S. Attorney’s Office mentioned.
Photographs launched via prosecutors confirmed cabinets stacked with counterfeit wallets and baggage in one location and purses striking from hooks from flooring to ceiling in every other.
“The seizures announced today consist of merchandise with over a billion dollars in estimated retail value, the largest-ever seizure of counterfeit goods in U.S. history,” U.S. Attorney Damian Williams mentioned.
The two males charged may just resist 10 years in jail if convicted.
