As Marines continue to search for F-35 after ‘mishap,’ officials order 2-day stand-down for all jets

The Marine Corps commandant stated he has complete self assurance within the aviation gadgets.

Marine Corps Commandant Eric Smith on Monday issued a two-day stand-down to happen one day this week for all aviation gadgets each outside and inside of the United States, a Marine Corps spokesman instructed ABC News.

The transfer used to be made within the wake of a “mishap” with an F-35 fighter jet in South Carolina on Sunday.

That craft has no longer but been positioned, even though the army continues to search.

A Marine Corps spokesperson stated in a remark on Sunday that the F-35’s pilot “safely ejected from the aircraft. We are currently still gathering more information and assessing the situation. The mishap will be under investigation.”

No gadgets are allowed to fly till they have got a two-day dialogue about protection measures and procedures, the commandant stated in a service-wide electronic mail on Monday. While the Marine Corps commandant stated he has complete self assurance within the aviation gadgets, he stated he felt this used to be the “right and prudent” factor to do given each this incident and every other contemporary incident in Australia.
