Alabama Rowing Kicks Off 2022-23 Season at the Head of the Oklahoma


OKLAHOMA CITY – The Alabama Rowing staff will open its 2022 -23 marketing campaign this weekend at the Head of the Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. This occasion will probably be the first of two regattas the Tide will compete on this fall and the fourth time in program historical past that Alabama competes in the Head of the Oklahoma.

The Crimson Tide will compete in two races on Saturday, with 5 boats racing in the Collegiate 4+ at 11:40 a.m. CT and two in the Collegiate 8+ at 2:30 p.m. CT.

After this weekend, Alabama will return to Tuscaloosa for the Head of the Black Warrior River on Saturday, Oct. 29 which is able to wrap up the fall portion of its schedule earlier than resuming subsequent spring on the highway at Clemson on Saturday, Feb. 25.

“We are looking forward to our first race of the 2022-23 season! The team has been working hard on making changes and building fitness. We have seen some promising results in practice and look forward to checking our progress on the race course.”
